China-Thailand Young Entrepreneurs Exchange Meeting Held in Beijing
The Global Vision Program for Young Entrepreneurs: China-Thailand Young Entrepreneurs Exchange Meeting, hosted by the China International Youth Exchange Center (CIYEC), was held in Beijing on June 5. It brought together more than 50 participants, including a delegation from the Young Business Network and Chinese young entrepreneurs engaged in sectors such as the digital economy, green energy and cross-border trade.

CIYEC Vice General Manager Chen Peng and Teerin Tanyawattanakul, head of the Thai delegation, delivered keynote speeches at the event. Zhao Hong, Deputy Division Chief of the Regional Agreement Service Office, Beijing Investment Promotion Service Center, gave a presentation on Beijing's business environment and new opportunities for China-Thailand economic cooperation.
The event featured project promotions and business matchmaking sessions. Entrepreneurs from both countries presented their projects in areas including manufacturing and automation, food and agricultural trade, as well as logistics and professional services. Entrepreneurs from both countries conducted on-site exchanges and reached several preliminary cooperation intentions.

Many participating entrepreneurs spoke highly about the event's outcomes. Chinese entrepreneurs agreed that face-to-face exchanges gave them a clearer understanding of Thailand's market access, distribution channels and manufacturing support needs. For their part, Thai entrepreneurs said they were impressed by China's technological advancement and responsiveness and expressed their keen interest in securing stable procurements and R&D business collaborations. Both sides agreed that young entrepreneurs were a vital force in bilateral economic ties and they called for more regular exchange and cooperation mechanisms in areas such as the digital economy, green transition and supply chain synergies.

This event marked the first country-specific session of the Global Vision Program for Young Entrepreneurs. The aim of the event is to invite young entrepreneurs from all around the world to visit China for on-site study tour, connect with industrial resources and support innovation and entrepreneurship.
Moving forwards, the CIYEC will continue to follow up on the outcomes of the event, help ensure that preliminary agreements become signed-up projects and will also provide commercial matching services through a China-Thailand youth entrepreneur cooperation database.
