Thai Delegation Visits CIYEC

The China International Youth Exchange Center (CIYEC) met with a delegation from Thailand's Young Entrepreneur Chamber of Commerce (YEC) on June 2.

CIYEC Vice General Manager Chen Peng welcomed the delegation and presented a briefing on the center's international youth exchanges and cooperation programs. He noted that China and Thailand are strategic partners that enjoy mutual trust, and that young entrepreneurs serve as an important bridge for boosting innovation and economic and trade exchanges between the two countries. Chen said CIYEC has always attached great importance to youth exchanges with Thailand and has worked continuously with its Thai counterparts to promote cooperation and exchanges between young entrepreneurs of both countries. Chen expressed CIYEC's commitment to deepening cooperation with Thailand in capacity building for young entrepreneurs, startup incubation and the digital economy and trade, injecting fresh youth-driven vitality into the China-Thailand comprehensive strategic partnership.

Punchayar Kidprasert, President of YEC Samutsakhon, thanked the CIYEC for its warm reception and praised the platform it has built for exchanges among young entrepreneurs. She outlined YEC's work and voiced its readiness to establish a regular communication mechanism with its Chinese counterpart in order to facilitate mutual learning and new avenues of cooperation.

Representatives from the YEC Subcommittee of Connect International and Business Network, YEC Bangkok, YEC Phetchabun, YEC Nakhon Si Thammarat, YEC Songkhla and YEC Chumphon introduced their respective branches. They presented information about their enterprises and expressed their interest in expanding cooperation in areas such as the digital economy, cross-border trade and green agriculture.

Officials from the CIYEC's Exchange and Cooperation Department also attended the meeting.
