CIYEC-led Yong Entrepreneurs Business Delegation Visit Japan

At the invitation of the Junior Chamber International Japan (JCI Japan), Chen Peng, Deputy Director of the China International Youth Exchange Center (CIYEC), led a delegation of Chinese young entrepreneurs on a business visit to Japan from March 3 to 7.

During the visit, the delegation met with Ikuina Akiko, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, and Hase Hiroshi, Governor of Ishikawa Prefecture. The delegation engaged with multiple Japanese governmental agencies, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Ishikawa Prefectural Government, and the Nonoichi City Government. They held discussions with representatives from business organizations such as the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Japan-China Economic Association.

They also toured traditional handicraft enterprises, agricultural businesses, and gained insights into Japan’s policies on economic cooperation with China, development of cultural and creative industries, agricultural product branding strategies, and livable city development. The visit offered a firsthand look at the unique appeal of local enterprises, their refined management practices, and ways for preserving and innovating traditional culture.

In Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, the delegation co-hosted the “Ceramic Silk Road” China-Japan Youth Civilization Dialogue with their Japanese counterparts. Scholars, ceramic artists, and entrepreneurs from both countries delivered keynote speeches on topics including “Historical Memories of Sino-Japanese Cultural Exchange Through Ceramics,” “Current Status and Future Trends in China-Japan Ceramic Cultural Industry Cooperation,” and “Innovative Cases of Chinese and Japanese Cultural Enterprises.” The event not only deepened mutual understanding of cultural commonalities but also laid a solid foundation for future collaboration in cultural industries.

The “Ceramic Silk Road” China-Japan Youth Civilization Dialogue is held in In Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture.

During the visit, the CIYEC and JCI Japan signed a new five-year China-Japan youth friendly exchange and cooperation memorandum. The Japanese side stated that the memorandum symbolizes both the achievements of long-term trust-based exchanges and a new starting point for deepened collaboration and common development. Both parties pledged to continue building practical cooperation platforms for youth entrepreneurs, foster new growth opportunities, and expand exchanges in fields such as economy, trade, technology, and innovation.

Chinese delegates expressed strengthened resolve to promote mutual learning between youth of the two nations and their commitment to advancing pragmatic cooperation with open mind and innovative approaches, in order to contribute to the building of a constructive and stable China-Japan relationship in line with the requirements of the new era.

The CIYEC and JCI Japan have long maintained robust collaboration in economic and trade sectors, establishing institutionalized projects such as the China-Japan Youth Entrepreneurs Economic Cooperation Forum and the China-Japan-Korea Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum, setting an exemplary model for practical exchanges between young entrepreneurs of the two countries.
