China-ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Association Work Meeting Held in Beijing
China-ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Association Work Meeting was held in Beijing from Dec 3 to 4. The meeting was hosted by China-ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Association (CAYEA) and ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Council (AYEC), with China International Youth Exchange Center (CIYEC) serving as the organizer.
Nearly 40 delegates attended the event, including Liu Aiping, Chairwoman of the Governing Council of CIYEC, Chen Peng, Deputy Director of CIYEC, Deborah Botterau, Secretary-General of AYEC, President of Malaysian Young Entrepreneurs Association and young entrepreneurs from ASEAN countries.
The meeting reviewed the history of CAYEA and summarized the work and outcomes in 2024. The delegates agreed that since its establishment, CAYEA has worked closely with AYEC to foster practical cooperation among youth entrepreneurs. In recent years, the two associations have actively promoted close collaboration under multilateral mechanisms such as 10+1 (ASEAN- China) and Lancang-Mekong Cooperation, successfully organizing signature projects such as the Lancang-Mekong Youth Entrepreneurs Forum, the China-ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Economic and Trade Cooperation Fair, and the 10+3 (ASEAN, China, Japan and South Korea) Young Entrepreneurs Dialogue. These efforts have yielded fruitful results.
It is emphasized during the meeting that, facing complex and volatile international situation, China-ASEAN relations require a long-term and strategic development. It called for further leveraging the role of young entrepreneurs, enhancing international cooperation, and fostering openness and shared growth, thereby contributing to the building of a closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future.
During the meeting, Key Work List of China-ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Association in 2025 were approved. The delegates exchanged views extensively and reached a broad consensus on strengthening coordination between work mechanisms, diversifying trade and economic cooperation activities, establishing project collaboration platforms, enhancing technical transfer partnerships, and promoting mutual visits.
The delegates also visited the Internet 3.0 Industry Base and Wangjing Science and Technology Park in Chaoyang District. They participated in China-ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Business Matching at the ICET Innovation Center where representatives of enterprises exchanged ideas in regard to international trade, green development, food and agriculture, educational technology and culture and tourism, and reached consensus on multiple cooperation projects at the event.
