At the invitation of the Russian Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, a nine-member youth delegation dispatched by the China International Youth Exchange Center (CIYEC) visited Moscow and Ulyanovsk, Russia, from May 22 to 29, where they participated in a China-Russia youth cultural and creative exchange program. This initiative, first launched in 2023, has been incorporated into the China-Russia Youth Business Incubator exchange project framework.

This exchange program focused on the music industry. During their visit, a China-Russia youth musicians roundtable was held in Moscow, where both sides engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges on cooperation within the music industry. Members of the Chinese delegation presented an overview of the development of China's music industry, including project cases in marketing, brand building, and business model innovation. They shared their experiences in music creation and expressed their hopes for multifaceted and multidimensional cooperation with Russian musicians.

Valeria Chernogorodova, Director of the International Cooperation Department of the Russian Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, attended and chaired the roundtable. She said that music plays a significant role in cross-cultural exchange and public diplomacy between Russia and China, helping to deepen mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples. In the future, the Russian Federal Agency for Youth Affairs will strengthen cooperation with the All-China Youth Federation and the CIYEC to build platforms for exchanges in the music industry, music education, and performances, jointly promoting the prosperity of the youth-driven music industry in both Russia and China, she said.

During their stay in Russia, the delegation participated in a music-themed forum for Russian Creative Week and related exchange activities held in Ulyanovsk. They visited the Ippolitov-Ivanov State Musical Pedagogical Institute, the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music, VKMusic, and the Tavrida Art Cluster in Moscow. The delegation engaged in face-to-face exchanges with Russian orchestras and bands, gaining a close-up experience of Russian music culture and understanding the development of the Russian music industry. They also participated in joint artistic creation activities with young Russian musicians. According to the program agenda, a Russian youth delegation will visit China in June to continue music-themed exchanges.
