CIYEC Holds Second Exchange Activity of International Youth Saloon
The China International Youth Exchange Center (CIYEC) held this year’s second exchange activity of the International Youth Saloon in Beijing on March 29.
More than 30 international students from 16 countries including Russia, Italy, Malaysia, and Indonesia, who are studying at Tsinghua University, Beihang University, and University of Science and Technology Beijing, visited the Zhongguancun Software Park, including stops at the exhibition hall of the China International College Students' "Internet+" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and Tencent headquarters Beijing. They also held exchanges with representatives from the Zhongguancun Software Park and Tencent.
During the event, the students gained a deep understanding of the development of the Zhongguancun Software Park and learned about the successful cases of enterprises in the industrial park enjoying targeted services provided by big data platforms, as well as listed companies established through collaboration between enterprises and higher education institutions.
At the Tencent headquarters, they learned about the company’s products such as QQ, WeChat, Tencent cloud computing, smart government services and smart tourism, and experienced simulated unmanned driving, feeling the profound impact of scientific and technological innovation on modern life.
Through this activity, the students had a more comprehensive understanding of the development and achievements of China’s new generation information and technology industry.
The progress of China’s science and technology enterprises and their success is astonishing, and they have seen the great importance the government attaches to S&T innovation, according to them.
Noting that this event greatly expanded their horizon, motivated them to study harder, and provided sound reference for their future employment and entrepreneurship in China, the students expressed their willingness to tell their friends and relatives more about the achievements of China’s S&T innovation.
The activity received substantial support from Kr Star Innovation. Heads of relevant departments of the CIYEC, Kr Star Innovation and the Zhongguancun Software Park attended the event.
