MEEA Delegation Visits CIYEC
On Oct 28, Zhang Hua, Director of the China International Youth Exchange Center (CIYEC), met with a delegation led by Mah Hang Soon, President of Malaysian Education Exchange Association (MEEA) and Deputy President of the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA).
Zhang noted that this year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Malaysia, and next year is the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries. He said that the CIYEC is willing to actively expand communication and cooperation between Chinese and Malaysian youth in collaboration with the MCA and the MEEA, to further promote friendship, advance cultural exchange and mutual learning, and infuse new connotations to the China-Malaysia youth exchange.
Speaking highly of the interaction and cooperation between the two sides in recent years, Mah said that there is solid foundation as well as promising prospects for cooperation in culture, education and technological innovation among youth in both countries. He expressed his hope to work with the CIYEC to promote practical cooperation, enhance understanding and mutual trust, and write a new chapter in the friendly cooperation between Chinese and Malaysian youth.
Officials at the MEEA and the MCA, as well as head of the CIYEC’s Administration Office, also attended the meeting.
