Russian Oblast Governor Visits CIYEC
On Sept 26, Liu Aiping, Chairman of Governing Council of China International Youth Exchange Center (CIYEC), met with a delegation led by Aleksei Russkikh, Governor of the Ulyanovsk Oblast in Russia.
Liu welcomed the delegation's visit and introduced the CIYEC to them. She said that the All-China Youth Federation and the CIYEC have established a series of platforms for pragmatic cooperation between youth entrepreneurs. Particularly the China-Russia Youth Business Incubator exchange project jointly implemented by the Chinese side with the Russian Federal Agency for Youth Affairs and Russian Union of Youth, she noted, serves as a platform for exchange, training, internship, and entrepreneurship between Chinese and Russian youth, and has gained wide approval from leaders and popularity among youth of both countries.
Liu added that the CIYEC strongly supports and appreciates the proposal put forward by the Russian Federal Agency for Youth Affairs to set the cultural and innovative industry as one of the themes of this year’s China-Russia Youth Business Incubator exchange project.
Noting that the innovation industry is the first choice for youth to start a business, Liu expressed the hope that the CIYEC will work closely with the Russian side to further enhance cooperation among youth from China and Russia in the field.
Russkikh echoed Liu's remarks, saying that the Russian side will work with organizations such as the Russia‒BRICS International Youth Cooperation Project Office to actively cooperate with the Chinese side in the planning of diversified exchange activities, so as to achieve more pragmatic cooperation results in business startups and innovation.
Chen Peng, Deputy Director of the CIYEC, also attended the meeting, following which the delegation also visited the Century Theatre in Beijing, the Beijing International Youth Institute, and the Silver Olive Sports World.
