The China International Youth Exchange Center (CIYEC) held a symposium on the international competitiveness of young entrepreneurs in Beijing on Aug 8, where opinions and suggestions were exchanged on young entrepreneurs’ participation in international competitions and their roles in facilitating high-quality development.

Six representatives of young entrepreneurs, namely Anqing Wei, President of Beijing Asia-Pacific Galaxy Fire Protection Technology Group Co., Ltd.; Han Dongcheng, President of Anhui Easpeed Technology Co., Ltd.; Zhan Ming, General Manager of Beijing Beizhan Technology Development Co., Ltd.; Wang Lei, Chief Executive Officer of Chengdu Adaspace Technology Co., Ltd.; Wu Shengzhou, Chairman of Desun Technology Group; and Li Jing, Director of Sinosteel Metals & Resources Co., Ltd., gave speeches on the innovative development of tech enterprises, intellectual property risks and solutions, the opportunities and challenges of Chinese enterprises in overseas development, the compliance of enterprises’ cross-border operation, enhancing global influence of enterprises and establishing coordination platforms for enterprises.

Participants held in-depth exchanges on issues such as the lack of experience in overseas enterprise operations, trade protectionism, and breaking the stereotype of “low-end producers”.

Noting that although the unprecedented changes unseen in a century are still developing, and economic globalization faces setbacks, peace, development, and win-win cooperation are unstoppable trend of the times, Zhang Hua, Director of the CIYEC, said, adding that we should have firmer confidence in globalized development, promote regional economic integration with concrete actions, and lead young entrepreneurs in realizing higher-quality development.

Zhang introduced the progress of CIYEC’s building of an international platform for economic and trade exchanges. He said the CIYEC is willing to leverage its advantage to actively explore new opportunities for international cooperation and innovative development of the digital economy, based on existing projects such as international leading talent training program for young entrepreneurs, , and facilitate young entrepreneurs to take part in international competition and cooperation.

Jia Tiesong, Deputy Director of the CIYEC, presided over the symposium. Chen Peng, Deputy Director of the CIYEC, heads of the Administration Office and different departments of the International Exchange Divisions of the CIYEC, and over 30 young entrepreneurs attended the event.
