At the invitation of the Russian Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, a delegation of young Chinese entrepreneurs, led by Jia Tiesong, Deputy Director of the China International Youth Exchange Center (CIYEC), participated in a China-Russia youth exchange activity during the seventh China-Russia Expo in Yekaterinburg, Russia, from July 9 to 13, 2023.

At the invitation of the Russian Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, a delegation of Chinese young entrepreneurs, led by Jia Tiesong, Deputy Director of the China International Youth Exchange Center (CIYEC), participate in a China-Russia youth exchange activity during the seventh China-Russia Expo in Yekaterinburg, Russia, from July 9 to 13, 2023.

The delegation's visit is the first youth exchange group dispatched by the All-China Youth Federation to Russia since the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The Russian side attaches great importance to this visit. Vasiliy Teterin, Director of Department of Youth Projects and Programs of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, together with the staff of the department’s international cooperation division, traveled from Moscow to Yekaterinburg to welcome the delegation.

Teterin also participated in the activity with representatives from youth organizations and trade promotion institutions, as well as young entrepreneurs of Russia, including Anna Bessmertnaya, Chairman of Commission for economic relations with partners in China of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Ludmila Berg, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of International and Foreign Economic Relations of the Sverdlovsk Region; Denis Protasov, Acting Director of the Youth Policy Department of the Ministry of Education and Youth Policy of the Sverdlovsk Region; and Gleb Astashenkov, Head of the regional branch of the Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

During the visit, the two sides jointly hosted a China-Russia youth entrepreneur roundtable conference, sharing successful cases and exchanging cooperation experiences under the theme of best practices in international business cooperation.

The roundtable has been held for seven consecutive sessions since the first China-Russia Expo, and has become an important national-level communication mechanism and branding project of the China-Russia Expo, receiving recognition from the organizers of both countries and participating entrepreneurs.

Zhan Ming, General Manager of the Beijing Beizhan Technology Development Co., Ltd.; Mikhail Derevyanko, General Manager of Future Today Ltd.; Wang Xiaoran from the Union of Chinese Entrepreneurs in Russia; and Bessmertnaya, shared their successful experiences of the China-Russia Youth Business Incubator exchange program. Representatives of Chinese and Russian young entrepreneurs also promoted their respective companies and projects.

Prior to the roundtable, heads from both sides held a coordination meeting on the China-Russia Youth Business Incubator project.

Jia briefed the attendees on China's World Youth Development Forum and the International Cooperation and Development Conference for Young Entrepreneurs.

During the visit, the delegation also participated in related thematic seminars at the China-Russia Expo, visited exhibition halls of relevant regions and companies from both countries, and visited such institutions as the High-Tech Park "University" in the Sverdlovsk region, and Uralhimmash, a chemical machinery factory in Ural.
