Zhang Hua, Director of the China International Youth Exchange Center (CIYEC), met with Said Bekkali, Member of the Political Bureau of the PPS (Party of Progress and Socialism), and National Bureau Member of the Moroccan Socialist Youth Organization (in charge of international exchange), in Beijing on July 11.

Zhang congratulated Bekkali on his election as Member of the Political Bureau of the PPS, and briefed him on the basic information of the CIYEC. He said that the PPS and its youth organization are important partners of the CIYEC in North Africa, and that the two sides have cooperated closely and smoothly in youth-related work over the years.

He pledged that the CIYEC is willing to work with the Moroccan side to expand trade and economic cooperation and people-to-people exchanges, in a bid to jointly promote youth communication and cooperation.

Noting that communication between the political parties and the youth of Morocco and China is vital for the development of bilateral relations, Bekkali said that Morocco highly values China’s constructive role in international affairs, and treasures youth communication between the two nations.

He expressed his hope to learn from China’s experience in all areas so as to inject fresh impetus into the sound development of bilateral relations.

The Head of the Public Service and Cooperation Department of the CIYEC also attended the meeting.
