Zhang Hua, Director of the China International Youth Exchange Center (CIYEC), attended the 2023 Global Youth Conference and addressed the Global Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum in Jinan, East China’s Shandong Province, on July 7.

Zhang said that nowadays, innovation is deeply integrated with entrepreneurship, which becomes an inherent requirement for realizing modernization and high-quality development.

He noted that youth are the most innovative, creative, responsible and open-minded of society, and play a vital role in innovation and entrepreneurship, adding that the international community and the governments of all countries have placed supporting youth innovation and entrepreneurship at an unprecedented strategic level.

Zhang pledged that the CIYEC would strengthen communication and cooperation with youth from different countries, give full play to advances in digital technology to reverse the expansion of global and regional disparities in youth innovation and entrepreneurship, in a bid to better tap into youth potential and use it to drive momentum, and inject fresh impetus into global economic recovery.

During his stay in Jinan, Zhang also visited Shan Dong Sheng Tuan Xiao (Shandong’s provincial academy for the Communist Youth League of China) and the Shandong Talent Development Group Co., Ltd..

The Head of the Administration Office of the CIYEC was also present.
