CIYEC Director Meets with Malaysia’s Melaka State Special Envoy to China
Zhang Hua, Director of the China International Youth Exchange Center (CIYEC), met with visiting Denis Lee Han Lim, Malaysia’s Melaka State Government Special Envoy to China, on June 29, to exchange views on issues of common concerns.
Zhang said that the CIYEC has always attached great importance to people-to-people exchanges and trade and economic cooperation with the Melaka State, and would like to further enhance communication and close cooperation, expand people-to-people exchanges and improve the cooperation platform.
Zhang expressed his hope that the Melaka State could give full play to its regional advantages and advance practical cooperation to the next level.
Noting that next year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic ties between Malaysia and China, Lee said that the Melaka State is willing to further enhance cooperation and communication with the CIYEC in areas such as trade and economy, culture, and technology, in a bid to continuously consolidate Malaysia-China friendship and play a part in the high-quality co-building of the Belt and Road.
Leong Hui Ying, Confidential Secretary of Melaka State Government Special Envoy to China; Tan Say Cheong, Chairman of the National Youth of the Federation of Hokkien Associations of Malaysia; and Wang Lu, Director of the Administration Office of the CIYEC, also attended the meeting.
