CIYEC Director Meets with JCI Hong Kong Delegation

A delegation of 34 people from the Junior Chamber International Hong Kong (JCI Hong Kong), led by its 2023 National President Kenneth Yu, visited the China International Youth Exchange Center (CIYEC), on June 9.

The CIYEC and the JCI Hong Kong have maintained close contacts in recent years and have yielded fruitful results, said Zhang Hua, Director of the CIYEC, when meeting with the delegation.

Noting that the world is undergoing accelerated transformation unseen in a century, Zhang expressed his hope that the JCI Hong Kong could fully leverage its role in connecting the Chinese mainland and the world, as well as its advantage as an international organization, to further strengthen communication and actively promote cooperation between the two sides.

Yu thanked the CIYEC for the warm reception and appreciated its efforts in promoting the growth and development of young entrepreneurs. He shared his hope to utilize the platform provided by the CIYEC to achieve greater exchanges and cooperation.

At a symposium held during the meeting, representatives from both sides introduced their respective situations. Eric Tang, JCI Advisory Board Chairman and 2008 JCI Hong Kong National President; Anthony Leung, JCI Audit Committee Chairman and 2015 JCI Hong Kong National President; as well as representatives from enterprises, including the China International Capital Corporation Ltd. Global Institute, the Sinosteel Metals & Resources Co., Ltd., the China Railway Construction Corporation (International) Ltd., Genertec Xinxing, and BAIC BJEV, gave speeches in turn and held in-depth exchanges on relevant topics.

Jia Tiesong and Chen Peng, deputy directors of the CIYEC as well as relevant officials from the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and heads of the Administration Office and the Economical Cooperation Department of the CIYEC attended the meeting.
