The China International Youth Exchange Center (CIYEC) held the China-Argentina Youth Entrepreneurs Economic and Trade Cooperation Fair on May 20 in Shanghai, with the support of the Consulate General of the Argentine Republic in Shanghai.

The fair included such activities as a presentation of trade policies, the promotion of enterprises, and one-on-one business exchanges, during which some 150 young entrepreneurs from China and Argentina held exchanges on cooperation and achieved favorable results. Representatives of both countries also visited and had exchanges at the Argentinian pavilion of the SIAL Shanghai. More than 60 percent of them have found new cooperation partners. Among them, entrepreneurs from Shanghai, Jiangsu, Tianjin, Hebei, Shandong, Inner Mongolia, Fujian and Hainan reached over 10 cooperation intentions with their Argentinian counterparts in such areas as meat, beverages and marine products.

Participants agreed that the fair was well-prepared, with targeted selection of participants and concise agenda. The efficient and effective fair is helpful for the enterprises to expand their international market. In particular, cooperation in such areas as agriculture, mining, manufacturing and high technology could leverage the complementary advantages of the two sides to promote the realization of high-quality development, according to the participants.

Zhang Hua, Director of the CIYEC; Federico Nahuel López Brusau, Commercial Consul of the Consulate General of the Argentine Republic in Shanghai; and Oscar Ernesto Solis, Agricultural Counselor of the Consulate General of the Argentine Republic in Shanghai, as well as officials of the Economical Cooperation Department of the CIYEC and Sheyang County, East China’s Jiangsu Province, attended the fair.
