CIYEC Director Meets with South Korean Delegation
Zhang Hua, Director of the China International Youth Exchange Center (CIYEC), met with a South Korean delegation led by Kwang-sun Cha, Chairman of the MRA/Initiatives of Change Korea (MRA/IC), on April 28.
The two sides held in-depth exchanges on further strengthening communication and cooperation.
The Northeast Asia Youth Forum, held by the MRA/IC for 18 consecutive years, has played an important role in promoting exchanges between youths from China, Japan, and South Korea, said Zhang. Noting that youth exchanges are facing new challenges with the development of the times, he suggested that the forum keep pace up with the times, make adjustments in terms of forum theme setting, delegate structure as well as its working mechanism, in a bid to continuously increase its influence.
Cha briefed on the preparatory work for the forum, and appreciated the CIYEC’s suggestions. He said he hopes the two sides could further boost communication and mutual support, so as to improve the quality of the forum.
Chen Peng, Deputy Director of the CIYEC, and the head of the CIYEC’s Vocational Education Department also attended the meeting.
