International Young Entrepreneurs Conclude Visit to Shenyang

Some of the participants of the International Cooperation and Development Conference for Young Entrepreneurs visited Shenyang, Northeast China’s Liaoning Province, for exchanges from April 27 to 28, with help from the China International Youth Exchange Center (CIYEC).

During their stay in Shenyang, Gao Wei, Vice-chairperson of the Standing Committee of the Shenyang Municipal People’s Congress, said that the capital city is now implementing the dual-drive strategy of innovation and opening-up and continuously accelerating its industrial transformation and upgrading. He welcomed young entrepreneurs across the world to Shenyang to carry out economic and trade cooperation.

Also, Gao thanked the CIYEC for building an international exchange platform for the city's development, saying that he hopes Shenyang would work together with the CIYEC in various fields like the economy, culture and education.

Deborah Melissa Botterau, Secretary-General of ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Council, said that she had experienced the vitality of China's vigorous development through the visit to Shenyang. Young representatives from various countries have also shown a strong interest in the city's enterprises and all parties have reached positive consensus, which fully embodies the strong resilience of young entrepreneurs' exchanges and cooperation.

She expressed her willingness to maintain close cooperation with the CIYEC and to jointly promote the participation of young entrepreneurs from ASEAN countries in economic growth in Northeast China.

During the trip, Shenyang held a special promotion for the International Cooperation and Development Conference for Young Entrepreneurs, introducing the characteristics of the main industries of the city's Shenhe District and its high-quality economic development in recent years.

The representatives also visited local companies, academic institutes, e-commerce platforms and industrial parks to learn about the development and advantages of modern agriculture, high technology, the digital economy and the cross-border e-commerce industry in Shenyang.

The visit is a key part of the International Cooperation and Development Conference for Young Entrepreneurs. Eleven cooperation intentions in such fields as medical equipment exports, agricultural feed production and cross-border e-commerce were reached during their visit to the city.

A total of 30 heads of young entrepreneur associations and young entrepreneur representatives from Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines, Brunei, South Africa and Ethiopia as well as officials from the Economic Cooperation Department of the CIYEC and related government departments of Shenyang attended the event.
