CIYEC Holds Parallel Forums for Young Entrepreneurs
The China International Youth Exchange Center (CIYEC) held two parallel forums during the Conference on International Cooperation and Development for Young Entrepreneurs, namely the Liangma International Dialogue and the ASEAN+3 Young Entrepreneurs Dialogue, on April 26, the second day of the conference.

Themed on the “Pattern of Regional Economic Integration”, the ASEAN+3 Young Entrepreneurs Dialogue marked the first face-to-face meeting between young entrepreneurs from ASEAN, China, Japan and the Republic of Korea (ROC) in three years.
Participants of the forum included Zhang Hua, Director of the CIYEC; Chen Junjie, Counsellor of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China; Pan Baochun, Vice President of All-China Chamber of Industry and Commerce and Chairman of Hefei Royalstar Electronic Appliance Group Co., Ltd.; Yuh Pok-Keun, Economic Minister of the Embassy of the ROC in China; Kawabuchi Hideo, Counsellor of the Embassy of Japan in China; and Bagas Adhadirgha, Rotating Chairman of ASEAN Young Entrepreneur Council and Head of Advisory Board Indonesia Young Entrepreneur Association (HIPMI), as well as 50 representatives of the business and political fields from ASEAN, China, Japan and the ROC.
The participants agreed that with the combined impact of the complex international situation, a new round of accelerated technological and industrial transformation, and crises affecting food, energy, economy, and climate change, ASEAN, China, Japan and the ROC should enhance their unity and cooperation to continuously inject impetus into global economic growth.
They also called on all parties to take the conference as an opportunity to strengthen cooperation between young entrepreneurs from ASEAN and the three countries, in a bid to create more trade and finance opportunities and break new ground for the sound development of the regional economy.
The Liangma International Dialogue was themed on “Green Digital Smart Manufacturing”. Participants of the event, including Jia Tiesong, Deputy Director of the CIYEC; Lu Yuebing, Chairman of Board of Air Liquide (China) Holding Co., Ltd.; Gong Daxing, Chairman of Shineray Group Ltd.; Fang Xiaoqian, Vice President of China Railway International Group Ltd.; Liu Hengwei, Executive Vice President of ENGIE China; Wang Yaokun, Vice President of Thyssenkrupp (China) Investment Co., Ltd.; Shang Rong, Vice President of Public Relations of Microsoft Asia-Pacific R&D Group; Xing Xiuxin, Senior Director of Tencent Cloud Business Development Center; and Karim Fahssis, Head of Decarbonization, China, A.P. Moller, Maersk, noted at the forum that all countries should join hands to promote the sound recovery of the global economy as well as the building of an open world economy.
Countries should refrain from creating discriminatory and exclusive systems and rules, so as to maintain the smooth operation of global industrial and supply chains and boost the liberalization and convenience of trade and investment, according to those in attendance.

An opinion poll was held during the parallel forums. About 40 percent of participants believed that enhancing entrepreneurial cooperation and personnel exchanges between ASEAN and the three countries will be beneficial for regional economic cooperation.
The participants also appealed to all sides to shoulder more responsibilities and play a more positive role in global climate governance.
