CIYEC Holds China-CEE Youth Camp & China-CEE Youth Development Forum
The 2023 “Bridge of the Future” China-Central and Eastern Europe Youth Campus and China-Central and Eastern Europe Youth Development Forum, sponsored by the All-China Youth Federation and organized by the China International Youth Exchange Center (CIYEC), were held from March 25 to April 1 in Beijing and Cangzhou, North China's Hebei Province.
Themed on harnessing the power of innovation to promote youth development, the event gathered 19 youth organization leaders from nine CEE countries.
China and the CEE countries are long-term friendly partners that have profound historical ties, complementary development advantages, strong cooperation needs, and a common desire for rejuvenation, said He Junke, the First Secretary of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, when addressing the forum.
He called on all countries involved to prioritize youth development, innovate development concepts, working methods and cooperation mechanisms, and invest more efforts into building consensuses and strengthening cooperation, in a bid to gain new momentum for global development and gather young talents to build a community with a shared future for mankind.
Jiang Yu, Special Representative for China-CEE Cooperation Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, attended the forum.
Representatives from CEE countries spoke highly of China's achievements in promoting youth participation, protecting youth rights and interests, and encouraging international youth exchanges. The participants exchanged views on priority areas of youth policies and relevant issues of countries involved.
The exchange campus' schedule also included a visit to the Museum of the Communist Party of China and a survey of an industrial park, as well as participation in an international youth tea party and a friendly football match.
Jia Tiesong, Deputy Director of the CIYEC, attended the camp throughout.
