Zhang Hua, Director of the China International Youth Exchange Center (CIYEC), met with Mah Hang Soon, Deputy President of the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA), Chong Sin Woon, Secretary General of the MCA, and Tan Teik Cheng, Vice-President of the MCA, on March 31.
Zhang stated that with the support of the MCA, the CIYEC and the MCA Youth League have made significant progress in their cooperation and exchanges, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. The two sides have supported each other and worked closely together, which has further deepened their long-standing friendship.
Zhang said that under the current international situations, he hopes that the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Malaysia can be an opportunity for both sides to deepen exchanges and cooperation in economy, trade, and culture, promote high-quality cooperation in implementing the Belt and Road Initiative and make new contributions to the sound development of China-Malaysia relations.
Mah said that the MCA has paid much attention to and supported China's development and expects that China will provide new opportunities for global development. He praised the CIYEC's efforts in building an international cooperation platform for young entrepreneurs, saying that no matter how the international situations change, the MCA will always support the MCA Youth League in their cooperation with China in such fields as science and technology, economy, culture, and innovation, in a bid to promote the building of a community with a shared future for Malaysia and China.
