Zhang Hua, Director of the China International Youth Exchange Center (CIYEC), met with Tim Wenniges, Director General of the Baden-Württemberg Entrepreneurs' Association of Germany, and Johann Fuhrmann, Chief Representative of the Adenauer Foundation's Beijing Office, in Beijing on March 28.

Zhang extended a warm welcome to the guests and briefed them on the history and development of the CIYEC. He said that the CIYEC is committed to promoting exchanges between Chinese and foreign youths and has built online platforms to create more opportunities for young people worldwide to engage in pragmatic cooperation.

Zhang noted that the CIYEC plays a positive role in accelerating the China-Germany all-round strategic partnership in the face of complicated international circumstances and always attaches great importance to strengthening people-to-people exchanges and enhancing mutual trust and learning.

Wenniges said that the cooperation between young German and Chinese people is crucial for the healthy and stable development of bilateral relations and also serves the common interests, adding that the two countries should further strengthen their people-to-people exchanges and promote cooperation between young entrepreneurs in equipment manufacturing, new energy, artificial intelligence and cultural sectors.

Fuhrmann spoke highly of the tremendous efforts made by the CIYEC to deepen the exchanges between German and Chinese youths. He said that the Adenauer Foundation is looking forward to strengthening its cooperation with the CIYEC to enhance mutual understanding and secure common development between young people from the two countries.

Those in attendance at the meeting included officials from the CIYEC's Economic Cooperation Department.
