A reception marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Jamaica was held on Feb 9 at the St. Regis Hotels & Resorts in Beijing.

Vice-Foreign Minister Xie Feng and Jamaican Ambassador to China Antonia Hugh delivered speeches during the event, which was also attended by Chen Peng, Deputy Director of the China International Youth Exchange Center (CIYEC).

The two sides held in-depth exchanges and agreed on enhancing mutual understanding and practical cooperation between young people of the two countries by helping them learn to cook local foods and participate in seminars and cultural and sports activities, contributing to the better development of bilateral relations.
