Wang thanked the Embassy of Japan in China for its long-term support of the CIYEC over the years. He said that due to the epidemic, people-to-people exchanges between the two countries have been affected in the past three years.

This year marks the 45th anniversary of the signing of the China-Japan Treaty of Peace and Friendship and he hopes that there will be more opportunities for exchanges and cooperation between young people in various fields such as economics and culture.

Yoshiko on behalf of the Japanese Embassy in China spoke highly of the contributions and efforts made by the CIYEC over the years to promote China-Japan friendship and youth exchanges.

Yoshiko noted that Japan and China are geographically close and culturally connected, and the exchanges and visits of young people from both countries will soon be resumed with joint efforts. They will enhance understanding and mutual trust and foster a new generation of friendly ambassadors between China and Japan.

CIYEC Deputy Director Chen Peng also attended the meeting.
