CIYEC Welcomes the Minister of Malaysian Embassy in China
Chen Peng, Deputy Director of the China International Youth Exchange Center (CIYEC), met with Mazlan Harun, Minister and Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy of Malaysia in China, Qiu Jiaming, First Secretary of the Malaysian Embassy in China, and Luo Weijian, President of the Malaysian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MICCI) in China on Feb 3. The two sides discussed issues on promoting youth exchanges and cooperation between China and Malaysia.
Chen reviewed the exchanges between Chinese and Malaysian youth organizations and expressed gratitude to the Embassy of Malaysia in China for its long-term support for youth exchanges between the two countries.
Chen said that in recent years, the CIYEC has cooperated closely with relevant Malaysian institutions and the two sides have achieved positive results in economic and trade cooperation and people-to-people exchanges. He hoped that they will continue to receive support from the embassy and make new progress in exchanges and cooperation between the youths of the two countries in various fields.
Mazlan showed a positive attitude toward the China-Malaysia youth projects undertaken by the CIYEC and said that the Embassy of Malaysia in China attaches importance to the exchanges and cooperation with China in the economic and trade sector.
He said this year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Malaysia and China and the embassy will give full support to the youth exchange projects. Both sides should keep close contact and contribute more to the sustainable and healthy development of Malaysia-China relations.
