The China International Youth Exchange Centre (CIYEC) will work with youth entrepreneur associations around the world to establish the International Alliance of Young Entrepreneurs Associations (IAYEA).

A webinar was held on Dec 20, to discuss preparations and cooperation with intended members of the IAYEA. Zhang Hua, Director of the CIYEC, presided over the meeting.

In his speech, Zhang underlined the importance of cooperation among young entrepreneurs all over the world. "The global economy is facing the worst recession since World War II. It is incumbent on young entrepreneurs to build confidence and promote economic recovery," he said.

Zhang also noted that the CIYEC will try its best to guide young entrepreneurs from all over the world to uphold the multilateral trading system, help reshape the global economy and build an open global economy.

The CIYEC holds a coordination meeting for intended members of the IAYEA on Dec 20 via video link to promote global economic recovery and build an open global economy.

Representatives of intended members from 20 countries, including Myanmar, Jamaica and Thailand, said they fully support the establishment of the international alliance, and hoped to tap the resource advantages of all members to accelerate the preparatory work.

The IAYEA aims to build a new platform for exchange and cooperation between young entrepreneur organizations and youth-led entrepreneurship organizations from different countries, to promote the development of young entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial youth from different countries for mutual benefit, to aid in the promotion of global economic recovery, and make new contributions to building an open global economy.

Participants exchanged views on the organizational system, membership, functions and other issues of common concern in establishing the alliance. It was agreed that in the context of sluggish world economic growth, the IAYEA, as a new cooperation platform with ideas of openness, inclusiveness, and win-win results, will pool the wisdom and strength of young entrepreneurs all over the world, spur economic growth and technological innovation, and enhance the growth and development of young entrepreneurs in various countries.
