CIYEC Director Zhang Hua noted that youth entrepreneurship can greatly stimulate employment, especially when the global economic recovery is weak and employment pressure is prominent. As this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and South Korea, the two sides are supposed to strengthen cooperation and work together to support and assist young entrepreneurs, he said.

Lee Jae-jun, Mayor of Suwon City, hoped that the forum will serve as a platform for mutual learning, win-win cooperation and continuous progress of young people from both countries.

Li Jiahua, Member of China's Expert Committee on Medium and Long-term Youth Development Planning and Director of the KAB Institute of Entrepreneurship Education in China, and Kim Kyong-hwan, Head of the Graduate School of Global Entrepreneurship at Sungkyunkwan University, delivered keynote speeches on the current situation and policy and future development of youth entrepreneurship in both countries. Entrepreneurs attending the forum also shared their start-up stories and experiences.

Highly praised by young entrepreneurs both in China and South Korea, the China-ROK Youth Entrepreneurship Forum that started in 2017 has been successfully held for six sessions.
