Kim Jong-moon, Director of the Korea Innovation Center in China (KIC China), visited the China International Youth Exchange Center (CIYEC) on July 14. Wang Yijun, Party Secretary of CIYEC, and Zhang Hua, Deputy Director of CIYEC, received the KIC China delegation.

Wang first extended a warm welcome to Kim. He said that the CIYEC has established a close partnership with KIC China in recent years, and that the two sides have jointly launched a variety of exchanges in scientific and technological innovation, working together to promote China-ROK industrial cooperation.

Kim said that it is a non-profit organization under the ROK's Ministry of Science involving ICT (information and communications technology) that focuses on supporting South Korean start-ups in China. He noted that KIC China has maintained a solid cooperative relationship with CIYEC, adding that ROK-China economic cooperation has led the way to mutual benefits so that the industrial and supply chains of the two countries are now closely linked.

Kim said he hopes that the two sides will continue to deepen cooperation in ICT, environmental protection, artificial intelligence and new materials.
