The China International Youth Exchange Center (CIYEC) is holding a science and technology innovation salon for young scientists on November 25 to 26 in Beijing, as China aims to peak carbon dioxide emissions before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality before 2060.

The two-day event is designed to facilitate cross-boundary exchanges and in-depth cooperation between outstanding Chinese and foreign young scientific and technological talents in the field of carbon neutrality to foster a global community of development with a shared future.

CIYEC would like to invite young scientists and scientific workers from home and abroad to participate in the event. More information is as follows:

I. Topic

With a theme of "Governance Path of Global Science and Technology Innovation for Carbon Neutrality Targets", the event will explore the governance status and existing problems of global innovation chains and ways to cooperate in global sci-tech, as well as China's role and current and future participation by typical enterprises in those areas.

II. Participants

The organizers would like to invite 30 people including young scientists and scientific and technological experts in the carbon-neutral field who work for universities, research institutes, professional institutions and leading enterprises, as well as young international scientists working in China.

III. Requirements

1. Members of the Young Talents Support Program of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), outstanding young sci-tech returnees, young core sci-tech workers of leading enterprises, young science and technology personnel of national laboratories, and young female sci-tech talents are preferred;

2. Applicants with research ability in the field of carbon neutrality who have achieved outstanding academic research results and have participated in workshops and results assessment in carbon neutrality at or above the provincial level, or have undertaken major carbon-neutrality projects or subject studies are preferred.
