The China International Youth Exchange Center (CIYEC) and the China Youth Entrepreneurs Association (CYEA) held a special symposium on strategic cooperation on July 31, 2020. The two sides reached an agreement on the joint promotion of international youth exchanges and on a new cooperation mechanism.

Fu Zhenbang, a member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China (CYLC), delivered a speech at the signing ceremony. He said that the strategic cooperation between the CIYEC and the CYEA is of great significance in the context of the spread of COVID-19 and the global economic downturn.

The two sides are expected to steadily advance various projects in accordance with the memorandum, he added.

Fu stressed that it's important to cultivate China's young entrepreneurs on the international stage and give them international vision and international competitiveness.

Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy, China's economic development and the growth of China's young entrepreneurs should play a major role in expanding the country's influence among international youth entrepreneurs who know well about and have a good relationship with China, and in enhancing China's voices in the international youth field.

As institutions affiliated with the CYLC, the CIYEC and the CYEA should improve mutual cooperation in order to make new contributions to promoting social and economic development by leveraging their respective advantages.

Wang said that international exchanges and cooperation among young entrepreneurs are an important part of international youth exchanges. The establishment of a strategic partnership with the CYEA will provide a broad stage for effectively enhancing the international competitiveness of young entrepreneurs.

The CIYEC will take a series of effective measures to actively support young entrepreneurs to participate in cultural and people-to-people exchanges with international youth, strive to facilitate high-quality overseas exchanges and the training of young entrepreneurs, and effectively meet the needs of young entrepreneurs for economic, trade, and technological development.

The two sides will establish the "International Cooperation Club for Youth Entrepreneurs" as soon as possible to develop strong teams for their international exchanges and cooperation.

Xu outlined the CYEA's current situation. He believes that the cooperation with the CIYEC is an important measure in fulfilling the political responsibilities and main duties of the CYLC and also an important practice for the deepening of reforms.

It's of great significance to unite and lead young entrepreneurs to participate in economic and social development, actively participate in the construction of the Belt and Road and focus on promoting the dual-circulation development pattern.

At the same time, it will also help young entrepreneurs to broaden their international horizons, expand their areas of work, and continuously enhance their comprehensive competitiveness. He said he hopes that the two sides will strengthen cooperation and work hard to enact their new consensus.
