The China International Youth Exchange Center (CIYEC) and Toyota Motor (China) Investment Co. (TMIC) organized an environmental protection bazaar themed on "Seeds Power — Toyota China Youth Environmental Protection Action" on November 23, 2019, in a community of Deshengmen sub-district, Xicheng district, Beijing.

The activity was designed to raise the people's awareness of garbage sorting, energy conservation and emission reduction and the low-carbon lifestyle, and called on everyone to take an active part in daily greenness. More than 150 people including community residents and youth representatives of environmental protection associations, colleges and universities, as well as of primary and secondary schools, participated in the publicity campaign.

Domestic waste sorting, aiming to reduce garbage generation and improve recycling and refuse treatment, should be a conscious action among all citizens. It can increase the city's gross regional product in a greener way by improving its energy and resource utilization efficiency.

The environmental protection bazaar served as a publicity campaign. It was also attended by leaders of the organizers CIYEC and TMIC, the host community and a Beijing voluntary environmental organization, who advocated for everyone's active participation in green life. Youth representatives also made commitments to implement environmental protection into daily life.

The activity was divided into five parts: garbage sorting promotion, environmentally-friendly manual creation, garbage enzyme production, green stories sharing, and a flea market for pupils. Such a community-based publicity campaign will make the concept of "low carbon, environmental protection, energy saving" go deeper into people's minds, and help strengthen the awareness of caring for the environment.

The "Seeds Power — Toyota China Youth Environmental Protection Action" project since its inception has encouraged Chinese youth to participate in ecological progress and built bridges for young people who are concerned about the ecological environment and are willing to devote themselves to environmental protection. As a public welfare project with extensive influence, it continues to pioneer new approaches to help the sustainable development of society.

The vision of "low-carbon, environmental protection and energy saving" for green development is expected to be sown all over the world like seeds, so that more people will be involved in the public welfare cause of environmental protection, and work together to protect the earth.
